The Levelok

Levelok overcomes the challenges presented by the stretch in the hoist rope when loading or offloading men and heavy equipment - or loading men, heavy equipment or ore in vertical mine shaftskips and cages. Levelok provides for the safe and rapid transfer of men, material and ore with mine conveyances used in vertical shafts.
 

Improved Productivity   

With Cages

  •     Time saving as no re-decking or re-positioning of the cage is required at any time, no matter how heavy the load.
  •     Quick and easy to use. Single person operation.
  •     Can be used at any underground station. Major components are mounted on the cage.
  •     Self-contained, totally enclosed components result in a low maintenance requirement.
  •     The cage is held firmly during loading and off-loading operations. There is no requirement to pre-tension the hoist rope during offloading.

 

With Skips

  •     Completely eliminates spillage caused by the stretch in the hoist rope.
  •     The skip is held during the the loading operation, thereby greatly reducing the shock loading applied to the ropes. This n turn can lead to a
        significant improvement in the life of the ropes.
  •     Can be used at any underground station. Major components are mounted on the cage.
  •     Self-contained, totally enclosed components result in a low maintenance requirement.
  •     The cage is held firmly during loading and off-loading operations. There is no requirement to pre-tension the hoist rope during offloading.

 

Enhanced Safety

  •     Nothing projects out into the shaft. No danger of shaft obstructions or interference.
  •     Interlocking with the hoist circuit prevents inadvertent activation and prevents hoisting while the system is engaged.
  •     No danger of the system being activated while hoisting is taking place.
  •     All clamps are applied simultaneously. There is no risk of a chair, chain, or lug becoming disengaged.
  •     Conveyance is held firmly in the front and at the rear.
  •     Proven 30 year operational track record.
  •     Can be used as an emergency brake to arrest a cage after a rope severance incident a an optional extra.
